Got Water? Rafting the American River
Can we go rafting during a drought year? You bet! You may not be able to water your yard daily, but you can most certainly go rafting on the American River this summer.
With Californian politicians behaving themselves and no fires threatening multi-million dollar homes in LA, the story of the California drought seems to be all the media is talking about. Yes, California is experiencing a drought and most other rivers and recreational lakes will be very low or empty, but the South and Middle Forks of the American River will still have great recreational flows all season long! This means we’re ensured a healthy rafting season on the American River!
Thanks to long-standing agreements with the agencies that control the dams on the South and Middle Fork of the American, we are guaranteed fun daytime flows at least 5 days a week. So, even though you may only be able to shower once a week, you will still be able to raft on the American River with us all summer long!
We know you are being bombarded everyday with news about the drought, but that’s no reason to change your summer plans. We are looking forward to a great 2014 rafting season which will kick off in April. Our office is now open and taking reservations. If you are ready to book a trip, or you’d like to explore your options, call us at 800-825-3205. Or you can book a trip online.
We can’t wait to see you on the river this season!
